The Aela ski area in Maloja has a platter lift, a pony lift and a new snow tubing facility.
Aela: Sun, peace and powder: the pleasant ski resort of Aela is a favourite with all those who are looking for active relaxation in unique natural surroundings rather than the hustle and bustle. The Aela ski lift takes skiers & snowboarders from Maloja (1817 m) to the small peak at 2100 m. Aela is also considered an insider tip among freeriders.
Pony: At sunny Maloja-Aela there is the pony lift, perfectly suited for a child's first ski lift experience. Near Maloja's pony lift, there is a brand new snow tubing facility and a sledge run. Snow tubing is a new sport, where you sit in a colored rubber ring and slide down the slope and then take the ski lift back up again. Snow tubing and sledging offer alternatives for adults and children who do not ski, but still want to enjoy the outdoors. Additionally, there's a small restaurant offering food and shelter.
