여행자들에게 이것은 숨은 보석이고, 이 지역 사람들에게는 매년 펼쳐지는 하이라이트다. 계곡 지대에 첫 새싹이 돋기 시작하면 알브리스 서식지의 아이벡스가 폰트레지나로 이동하는데, 풀을 뜯거나 볕을 쬐는 모습 혹은 마을 고지대 끝에서 서로 장난스럽게 싸우는 모습을 관찰할 수 있다. 무엇보다도 이곳의 새로운 아이벡스 파라다이스로 올봄부터 폰트레지나는 이 “알프스의 제왕”에 특별한 찬사를 보낸다.
Some 1,700 ibexes can’t all be wrong: Graubünden’s heraldic animal feels very much at home in the mountains around Pontresina. It’s not for nothing that one of the largest colonies of ibexes in the Alps lives on the slopes of Piz Albris (3,166 metres above sea level) near Pontresina. Pontresina's Ibex Paradise invites nature-loving visitors and locals alike to enjoy exploring this paradise-like setting.
The Ibex Promenade is a one-kilometre hiking trail suitable for prams and featuring seven stops with entertaining information for children and grown-ups on the characteristics of ibexes, their natural habitat and geographic distribution.
Visit the Ibex Gallery at the mountain-top station of the Languard chairlift, situated at 2,332 metres above sea level, to find out more about the fascinating history of the collapse and resettlement of ibex populations. Only a stone's throw away from Alp Languard, the ibex playground offers plenty of opportunities for young climbing champions to get their fair share of exercise.
