Inleiding

Het landelijke gasthuis midden in het idyllische dorp Oberstammheim spreekt zijn bezoekers niet alleen aan vanwege het pittoreske decor, maar ook vanwege het hoge culinaire niveau. In de nostalgische eetgelegenheid gebruikt men geraffineerd regionale ingrediënten, de menukaart biedt seizoensgebonden accenten. De zes eenvoudige hotelkamers zijn romantisch ingericht. WC en douche op de etage. Het gasthuis beschikt over paardenstallen. Ideaal voor dagtochten naar de nabijgelegen meren en Winterthur.

Beschrijving

The Hirschen is: a place of special hospitality. It is home to loyal regulars and at the same time a popular destination for culinary explorers and connoisseurs. From a simple spring salad for a small appetite to a fine four-course menu with Sunday roast to a fresh fruit cake to fortify you on a hike: we have something for everyone. The wine cellar houses the classics of the region as well as the secret favourites of our vintners from the Stammertal. In addition, the "Historic Hotel of the Year 2014" award from ICOMOS (Suisse) proves that the challenging combination of monument protection and gastronomy can succeed.

Swiss Historic Hotels and Lodgings

Het authentieke gasthuis hoort tot de belangrijkste herenhuizen van de 17e eeuw en is uitverkoren tot «Historisch hotel 2014». De zorgvuldig in stand gehouden constructie en de drie nostalgische kamers, compleet met authentiek antiek meubilair en de liefde voor details, zorgen voor een betoverende tijdreis. In de keuken werkt men voornamelijk met regionale en seizoensgebonden ingrediënten.
