Inleiding

Het romantische hotel, bestaande uit twee historische huizen, werd in 2022 heropend. Het biedt 18 charmante, individuele kamers voor maximaal 5 personen, waarvan sommige met gezellig balkon. Fantastisch interieur, antiek gecombineerd met modern. Uitstekende, creatieve gastronomische gerechten met regionale producten. Slechts enkele stappen van het Unesco-werelderfgoed St. Johann verwijderd. Grote tuin, honden zijn welkom. Gratis openbare parkeerplaats.

Beschrijving

First mentioned as a hostel in 1254, the Chasa Chalavaina is one of the oldest hotels in Switzerland - taken over by a foundation in spring 2022 and carefully renovated to preserve its unique charm.
Each of the 18 individual rooms fascinates with historical furniture from different eras, from 16th century treasures to timeless lamps that combine history and elegance. In the historic Arven Gaststube, guests can enjoy the finest local cuisine with regional specialities of the Engadine as well as a hearty regional breakfast. Located directly opposite the World Heritage Site of St. Johann Monastery, our Hotel Chasa Chalavaina in Müstair invites you to inspiring explorations in the Val Müstair Biosphere Park.

Het Chasa Chalavaina werd in 2024 uitgeroepen tot Historisch Hotel van het Jaar. Al in 1254 werd het voor het eerst vermeld als herberg. Nostalgische elementen zijn nu in samenwerking met monumentenzorg nieuw leven ingeblazen. De salons met tegelkachels, de oude open haard, de antieke vloerplanken en de massieve balken brengen het verleden tot leven.
