Inleiding
Een typisch Sforza fort uit de 15e eeuw, de muurmassa's zijn gereduceerd tot de essentie van een geometrische figuur. In Sasso Corbaro bevindt zich de 17e-eeuwse 'sala Emma Poglia'.

De transformaties van de kamers werden geleid door Tita Carloni (1963-64) en Paola Piffaretti (1998-2004). Hier worden tijdelijke, thematische en anthologische tentoonstellingen gehouden. Het Kasteel van Cima, zoals het door de inwoners van Bellinzona wordt genoemd, is uitgeroepen tot UNESCO Werelderfgoed.
