Walter Pfeiffer’s unique blend of eroticism and wit, classical serenity and ornamental playfulness, artifice and immediacy has clearly attracted international attention in recent years. The artist woos his male and female models with charm, and this comfortable atmosphere produces photographs full of closeness and longing that may enchant us just a little. Thanks to the retrospective exhibition “In Love With Beauty” at the Winterthur Museum of Photography, he was rediscovered by a broad audience.
