Lights in the darkness: Lausanne Lumières
Introdução
The «Lausanne Lumières» festival is an art event focussing on the theme of light as a pivotal artistic element.
The festival takes place every year from the second half of November to the end of December. Shimmering works of art enchant visitors at a number of locations in the heart of the city, such as Place de la Gare, Place de la Palud and Rue Saint-Laurent. In 2015, Lausanne also introduced three new Christmas markets, each with a different theme: a stroll around the attractive stands offers a chance to taste local delicacies as well as buy original gifts.
