Inside the Castle · The Witchcraft Trail
From 5 to 9 pm, the castle opens up its floors and draws you into a story as fascinating as it is unsettling: that of witches and wizards, and the trials that sealed their fate.
From room to room, students from the University of Lausanne bring these figures and their trials to life, weaving together historical fact, superstition and the great fears of times past. A journey through time in which the line between legend and reality grows unnervingly blurred… and where, around a corner, the Cie du Petit Grimoire might just appear for a few fleeting apparitions.
A trail to explore at your own pace, by candlelight. And here's the good news: the castle stays open and free to visit all evening long — take the chance to (re)discover its collections in an atmosphere unlike anything you've seen before.
Peckish or thirsty?
Throughout the afternoon and evening, you'll find food, drinks and popcorn along the south façade of the castle. An info stand in the gardens is on hand to point you in the right direction.
