The Land Art Festival is a long-standing tradition in Grindelwald, where national and international artists create impressive works of art using natural materials.
The Grindelwald Land Art Festival uniquely combines art and nature. Along the “Im Brendli” hiking trail below the Hotel Wetterhorn, impressive works of art are created that blend harmoniously into the alpine landscape. The artists work exclusively with natural materials and simple tools. This results in ephemeral works that, over time, become part of nature once again.
Visitors have the opportunity to watch the artists at work during the installation phase and gain fascinating insights into the creative process. The finished artworks will then remain on display—signposted and freely accessible—throughout the summer, inviting visitors to take an inspiring stroll through nature.
A special highlight of the festival is the public guided tour with the participating artists, during which they share insights into the works and their creation.
