Willy Thaler
概覽
簡介
Thaler’s pictures do not tell grand stories; they simply observe: people at work, landscapes in shifting light, bodies in space. The exhibition therefore organises the work not by genre, but by theme.
Thaler’s pictures do not tell grand stories; they simply observe: people at work, landscapes in shifting light, bodies in space. The exhibition therefore organises the work not by genre, but by theme. Landscapes, nudes, socially critical scenes and abstract works enter into dialogue with one another. Also on display are works from the estate that have been deliberately preserved or reframed, precisely because the signs of ageing they bear reveal so much about Willy Thaler as a person.
