The Muottas Muragl funicular railway was the first mountain railway in the canton of Graubünden to open up a scenic mountain for tourism. Since 1907, it has been transporting visitors to the most stunning view point above the Upper Engadine; it has a total length of 2,201 m and an incline of ups to 56 percent. The Romantik Hotel Muottas Muragl was also a pioneering achievement: As part of a comprehensive renovation, it was named the first plus-energy hotel in the Alps in 2010.

The funicular is not in operation during the off-season (approximately early April through early June and mid-October through mid-December). You can find the current operating hours here:
