Pont de Nant to Derborence
概覽
簡介
The last stage of the Tour des Muverans heads over Col des Essets pass down to Derborence amid unspoilt nature.
Description
The relaxing descent is followed by a steep climb. The path goes through a forest of larch and pine trees to Chalet Richard and then on through a steep narrow valley to Alp la Vare. Next, it crosses a long, surprisingly flat meadow, before winding its way between white cliffs to Col des Essets pass. Looking east, you can see a mountain panorama stretching from Les Diablerets to the Italian and Valaisian alps. From the pass, the path skirts round Cabane Barraud, reaching Azeindaz ten minutes later.
The beautiful mountain huts Refuge Giacomini and Tour d’Anzeinde are inviting spots for a break. They offer both food and drink. You can also spend the night there. After that, you follow the path through Alpine meadows to Pas de Cheville. Before you cross from Vaud to Valais, you can admire the view onwards to Derborence and the Valaisian Alps. You can pat yourself of the back as you approach Derborence, the sunny mountain terrace that you started out from three days ago.
If you started from Pont de Nant, you can eat and stay the night in Refuge du Lac Derborence or in Auberge du Godet.
