Lake Walen is perfect for every kind of water sport. Around the lake you’ll find freely accessible swimming areas. A favorite is the lido in Walenstadt with its sunbathing lawn, diving platform, and kiosk. In Unterterzen and Murg you can rent stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, or motorboats. The lake is also renowned for windsurfing in föhn winds and spectacular diving.
Quinten on Lake Walen
The car-free village of Quinten is easily reached by
boat. Thanks to its almost Mediterranean climate, berries, figs, kiwis, and vines grow here. Discover the beautiful village center, the Chapel of St. Bernhard, and the historic “Geissenstall” settlement. Visit the farm shops, the Quintner wine cellar, or enjoy the panorama of Lake Walen in one of the excursion restaurants. Wonderful views also await you on the
