Angela Aux
Overview
Intro
Nothingness makes copies of itself
Angela Aux is a phantom of the German pop scene—but not one who hides particularly well. His songs play on radio stations across Europe, he’s streamed millions of times, and his music can be heard in movies. And yet, he remains mysteriously shrouded in fog. His musical journeys touch upon other regions of the mind-heart matrix. After a concert, you feel as if you’ve read a good book and watched a special movie all at once. “Das Nichts macht Kopien von sich Selbst” will be his first album in German and deals with the future of humanity. For her collage-style sound, the vinyl collector draws from different genres this time: drawing on ’90s grunge, the Hamburg School, and lo-fi electronica, Angela Aux creates little pop anthems that nestle so gently into the madness of the world that they generate a sense of confidence and euphoria.
