Bellinzona in Pumpkin

From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a day dedicated to autumn flavors, local products, and fun for the whole family, including food specialties, creative activities for children, and pumpkin-themed fun facts.

The star of the event will be a giant pumpkin weighing approximately 400 kg, accompanied by a small display of different pumpkin varieties, some of which will also be available for purchase. There will also be themed food specialties, including gnocchi and pumpkin beer.

In Piazza Nosetto,twelve butchers from the Ticino and Mesolcina Master Butchers' Association will offer tastings of their products and the Rassegna dei Salumi competition. For the little ones, there's room for creativity with the "Zuccone" workshop, where they can decorate their own pumpkin.

Three pumpkin-themed competitions will also liven up the day:

- Largest Pumpkin: the pumpkin with the largest circumference wins.

- Most Artistic Pumpkin: A prize for the most original and unique pumpkin.

- Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin: A challenge to guess the weight of a large pumpkin.

Each contest will receive a prize of CHF 300 in vouchers from the Bellinzona Traders' Association. To participate in the first two contests, simply bring your pumpkin to Piazza Collegiata on Sunday morning.

The event is organized by the Bellinzona Traders' Association in collaboration with Bellinzona and Valli Turismo.
