Jennifer is as wealthy as she is attractive, enjoying a glamorous life as a philanthropist in American high society. No one suspects that, during her regular visits to Mexico, she is involved in a passionate relationship with Fernando—a young ballet dancer and promising talent supported by her cultural foundation. Smitten and hopeful for a better future in the U.S., Fernando eventually dares to make the perilous journey across the border. When he suddenly appears at Jennifer’s luxurious San Francisco apartment, her carefully controlled world begins to unravel.
