Intro
Concert by the Schola de Sion, featuring its Vocal Ensemble and a quintet from the Harmonie de Sion
The Palestriana project commemorates the 500th anniversary of Palestrina’s birth and features a mix of motets and new works for brass quintet by composer Gauthier Dupertuis. Drawing on certain compositional principles of the Renaissance, G. Dupertuis adds a contemporary touch in various ways. Alongside this core program centered on Palestrina, the concert is enhanced by several Christmas motets by various Renaissance composers and pieces for brass quintet.
