Intro
Giovanni Allevi is responsible for a groundbreaking renewal of classical music and is rediscovering the art of composition for new generations.
He holds a diploma in piano and composition and a degree in philosophy with a thesis entitled "The Emptiness in Contemporary Physics."
He has performed on the stages of the world's most important concert halls, from Carnegie Hall in New York to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Forbidden City Auditorium in Beijing. Thanks to his intellectual commitment, he is a philosophical reference point for the concepts of innovation and the analysis of change.
His latest book is entitled "The Rules of the Piano – 33 Notes of Music and Philosophy for a Life Beyond Everyday Life" (ed. Solferino).
He has received respectful compliments from Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and Nobel Laureate Mikhail Gorbachev. The American space agency NASA named an asteroid after him: giovanniallevi111561. He is the author and presenter of an innovative and award-winning documentary broadcast on Rai Play: "Allevi in the Jungle." The single "Tomorrow," dedicated to the planet, launched the composer's collaboration with the Earth Day European Network, where he serves as an ambassador for the most important green initiative dedicated to the Earth.
