November 5, 2026: Premiere of the MESH! concert series
Stella Palino (lyrics), Christoph Baumann (piano), Christoph Grab (tenor saxophone), Lino Blöchlinger (alto saxophone), Mischa Frey (bass), Dieter Ulrich (drums)
Nov. 12, 26 Hülsebüx
Lino Blöchlinger (saxophone / flute / cacophonator), Lucien Danzeisen (keyboards / synth / noise), Raphael Erdin (drums)
The “Büxen” of this illustrious, rebellious group are loaded with a mix of everything under the sun; they play uncompromisingly and shine a light on the spiral nebula of tradition. Hülsebüx will take you on a journey and invite you to listen and look toward the future.
Nov. 19, 26 Baumann – Grab
Christoph Baumann (piano), Christoph Grab (saxophone)
Here, two thoroughbred improvisers and composers from two generations come together. From their many years of playing together in the HAUSQUARTETT, a joyful and intelligent form of interaction has emerged, one that always sees itself as the joint creation of a musical narrative. Instant composing at its finest!
November 26, 2026 Les Mercenaires de l’Amour Fou
Christian Bucher (drums), Martin Medimorec (mallets), Matthias Reinhard-DeRoo (bass), Christoph Baumann (piano)
For nearly ten years now, the trio has been traveling—sometimes cheekily and wildly, sometimes thoughtfully and melancholically—through the jungles, mountains, deserts, and waters of music. Along the way, they offer like-minded musicians from Switzerland and around the world a soft, thick flying carpet. This time, Christoph Baumann joins them. Together with this “big-game hunter,” they’ve just recorded a small but exquisite album. With gentle paws and sharp claws, they hunt for everything that brings wonder and joy to their audience.
12/03/26 Normal Coexistence
Dalia Donadio (voice), Tobias Meier (saxophone)
In their performance, Dalia Donadio and Tobias Meier explore shared life and artistic creation as a couple and as parents. Electronic noise meets the fragile simplicity of voice and saxophone—an intimate dialogue about the balance between solitude and togetherness.
12/10/26 Blöchlinger – Dühsler – Strinning
Lino Blöchlinger (reeds), Samuel Dühsler (drums), Sebastian Strinning (reeds)
Saxophones, drums, percussion instruments, and calling pipes intertwine in free improvisation to create dense, primeval soundscapes that range from subtle sounds to impulsive outbursts.
12/17/26 Le String’Blö
Sebastian Strinning (reeds), Lino Blöchlinger (reeds), Roberto Domeniconi (Rhodes), Urban Lienert (bass), Reto Eisenring (drums)
The band combines the electrifying energy of the younger generation with the experience of established musicians. The compositions by Sebastian Strinning and Lino Blöchlinger thrive on freedom, energy, and intense interactions.
Jan. 7, 2027 RAW
Jet Torino (bass), Stella Palino (vocals), Valeria Zangger (drums)
RAW with bass, microphone, and drums. Lyrics meet bass and drums; words meet intensity and energy. Loud, direct, stripped-down. Punk. Come on down!
Jan. 14, 2027 Hülsebüx
Hülsebüx break the mold for you and invite you to listen and look toward the future.
January 21, 2027 LOUISE
Joana Aderi (vocals), Valeria Zangger (drums), Marina Berther (bass)
The snow falls softly. A quiet concert between drone and melody, between texture, repetition, and subtle movements. Sounds emerge, linger, and fade away again. Music for a quiet evening by candlelight.
Jan. 28, 27 Hausquartett – Nachglühen 1
Christoph Baumann (piano), Christoph Grab (saxophone), Hämi Hämmerli (bass), Tony Renold (drums)
The HAUSQUARTETT is a well-rehearsed ensemble that combines lyrical subtleties and powerful grooves with great enthusiasm. Four distinct voices come together and jointly develop music that sounds fresh, lively, and surprising.
February 11, 2027 PITH
Lino Blöchlinger (alto and bass saxophone / flute), Sean Noonan (drums / vocals / composition), Norbert Bürger (electric guitar)
PITH is a highly inventive collective that fuses Swiss free improv, Bavarian cabaret, and New York-style rhythmic storytelling into a powerful form of punk jazz. Olis is the central alter ego, a reluctant, disembodied seeker whose existence resembles a ceaseless search for Pnoom, the absolute void.
February 18, 2027 PITH
Lino Blöchlinger (alto and bass saxophone / flute), Sean Noonan (drums / vocals / composition), Norbert Bürger (electric guitar)
PITH is a highly inventive collective that blends Swiss free improv, Bavarian cabaret, and New York rhythmic storytelling into a powerful form of punk jazz. Olis is the central alter ego, a reluctant, disembodied seeker whose existence resembles a ceaseless search for Pnoom, the absolute void.
February 25, 2027 WEST SIDE STORY – The Sound of a Torn World
Raphael Jost (vocals / piano), Christoph Grab (saxophones), Andy Zitz (bass), Pius Baschnagel (drums)
Leonard Bernstein’s *West Side Story* tells a story of love, conflict, exclusion, and the search for belonging—themes that are more relevant than ever in light of social division, migration, and new nationalist movements. The band translates Bernstein’s iconic music into a contemporary jazz language, deconstructing familiar melodies and motifs and expanding them through improvisation, modern grooves, and personal soundscapes.
March 4, 2027 MUSHROOM
Bastien Rieser (trumpet), Christoph Grab (saxophone), Raphael Walser (bass), Elmar Frey (drums)
MUSHROOM brings together four outstanding jazz musicians who not only play with virtuosity but also compose their own music. Over the course of more than half a year, they met repeatedly, developed their compositions together, and wove them into a diverse program that leaves plenty of room for spontaneous twists and musical surprises.
March 11, 2027 Baumann/Hämmerli/Renold & Tobias Meier
Tobias Meier (saxophone), Christoph Baumann (piano), Hämi Hämmerli (bass), Tony Renold (drums)
A surprising encounter on a journey to the fringes of jazz.
March 18, 2027 Dr.O.G.E. – drums.organ.guitar.ensemble extended
Dominik Blum (piano), Dave Gisler (guitar), Valeria Zangger (drums), Laura Cesar (bass)
Dr.O.G.E.—the Drums Organ Guitar Ensemble featuring Dominik Blum, Dave Gisler, and Valeria Zangger—welcomes bassist Laura Cesar. As a quartet, they navigate between free improvisation, dense soundscapes, and explosive moments. Music that emerges from the moment and can change direction at any time.
March 25, 2027 Grab – Mean – Leipold
Christoph Grab (saxophone), Marc Méan (piano / synthesizer), Samuel Leipold (guitar)
A trio featuring a prepared piano, guitar, and saxophone: Marc Méan, Samuel Leipold, and Christoph Grab perform ballads that create vast, open soundscapes. Elegiac and narrative, their music unfolds with depth, atmosphere, and subtle nuances.
April 1, 2027 Suite for 2 Guitars
Toni Donadio (guitar), Moreno Donadio (guitar)
A well-established duo breaks new ground.
April 8, 2027 Baumann/Hämmerli/Renold & Guest
Christoph Baumann (piano), Hämi Hämmerli (bass), Tony Renold (drums), guest (TBA)
Another encounter on the journey to the fringes of jazz.
April 15, 2027 Looty Trio
Sebastian Strinning (saxophone), Valeria Zangger (drums), Marc Unternährer (tuba)
The Looty Trio roams freely between the precision of a jazz scalpel and the raw power of a punk sledgehammer. With plenty of energy, it barks at ostentatious palaces, degrading systems, and—last but not least—boring music.
April 22, 2027 Zangger – Tschopp
Valeria Zangger (drums), Andreas Tschopp (flute / trombone)
Flutes, trombone, and drums: Andreas Tschopp and Valeria Zangger present their new album, “Forever Probably.” As a duo, they explore just how much sound, groove, and movement can be created with minimal resources. The album was released in February on UNIT Records.
April 29, 2027 Hausquartett – Nachglühen 2
Christoph Baumann (piano), Christoph Grab (saxophone), Hämi Hämmerli (bass), Tony Renold (drums)

May 6, 2027 Reber – Strinning
Marie-Cécile Reber (electronics), Sebastian Strinning (reeds)
Strinning and Reber combine live sampling, field recordings, tenor saxophone, and contrabass clarinet into an intimate dialogue. The result is an atmospheric soundscape that bridges the “here and now” with surreal worlds.

Stella Palino (lyrics), Christoph Baumann (piano), Christoph Grab (tenor saxophone), Lino Blöchlinger (alto saxophone), Sebastian Strinning (tenor saxophone), Valeria Zangger (drums)
