Enjoy a cozy summer evening with summer string music in Schaffhausen or Hallau? The MCS Chamber Orchestra makes this possible on June 13 and 14, 2026.
Under the direction of Annedore Neufeld, the orchestra and 3 soloists present a colorful, light summer program of works for string orchestra. Join the orchestra on a sound journey from Brazil to Sweden. The orchestra will perform the various works at different locations, such as the cloister, St. Anne's Chapel and the cathedral. Between the individual parts of the concert, you can take a leisurely stroll from one place to the next to the sound of birdsong. A different atmosphere awaits you in each place. You will hear works from the Baroque to the present day.

Kurt Atterberg: Suite for violin, viola and string orchestra, op. 19
Jean Sibelius: Andante Festivo
Heitor Villa-Lobos: Bachianas Brasileiras No. 9 for string orchestra
Jean-Philippe Rameau: Ritournelle from Complément 6 & Entrée de Polyhymnia et des Muses from Les Boreades
