Tag der Restaurierung im Bernischen Historischen Museum
Overview
Intro
Conservators from Bern offer a glimpse into their diverse work at the Bern Historical Museum.
Bern-Based Conservators at the Bern Historical Museum
This year, several Bern-based conservators are showcasing their work together at the Bern Historical Museum. At various booths, conservators specializing in different fields—from private conservation studios and institutions—will offer insights into their work. Using selected objects, materials, and tools, they will demonstrate just how diverse and challenging the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage is.
Visitors will have the opportunity to talk with the experts, ask questions, and learn more about the different working methods and areas of specialization.
Whether paintings, paper, photographs, wood, archaeological objects, stone, or other materials—the conservators will demonstrate how damage is analyzed, objects are examined, and appropriate conservation measures are developed.
