Albert-Heim-Hütte SAC
Overview
Intro
The hut is named after Albert Heim, the Alpine explorer, geologist and glaciologist. He became an honorary member of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
It was Albert Heim, who suggested the location of the hut. Today there are five rooms with 7 to 25 beds each, most of these have duvets. The view from the terrace extends to the Tiefengletscher (glacier) and Galenstock. You will need approximately 90 minutes for the hike which covers a 440-meter height difference from Tiefenbach (Furkapass PostBus in the summer) to the hut located at 2,543 meters.
