Intro

The home of red deer and vultures: An overnight stay in the wild and romantic Val Cluozza is an unforgettable experience. The Chamanna Cluozza is the only managed hut in the National Park and is located in the heart of the Swiss National Park at 1882m above sea level.

Description

The Chamanna Cluozza offers simple and comfortable accommodation in rooms or dormitories and is an ideal starting point for hikes in the Val Cluozza, the first valley that the municipality of Zernez made available to the nascent National Park back in 1909.

Opening hours

Chamanna Cluozza is open from mid-June to mid-October. Outside these opening hours the hut is closed and offers neither winter accommodation nor shelter. Note: In winter, the National Park is closed. Here you can find information about hiking trail accessibility.

Reservations

Information about reservations, prices and discounts can be found here. Reservations can be made online up to 48 hours before the desired overnight stay. Reservations with less notice must be made over the phone. The reservation is for one night with half board (dinner, breakfast and a thermos of tea). An overnight stay at half board for people who want to do their own cooking is not possible.

Places to stay

There are a total of 61 sleeping places, including 34 places in group dormitories and 27 places in rooms of various sizes.
Requests for storage/rooms will be taken into account as far as is possible. Private rooms cannot be reserved/guaranteed. All sleeping places are equipped with duvets. Thin hut sleeping bags are mandatory. Guests can bring their own hut sleeping bags or purchase or hire them at the hut if needed.

Ascents

The climb to Chamanna Cluozza is only possible by foot. Two-wheeled vehicles are not allowed in the National Park.
