Alpine cattle drive Flimserstein
Overview
Intro
The Alpabzug invites you to witness the breathtaking spectacle of the cows and calves as they return to the village after the alpine summer. A great supporting program also awaits the guests.
Every September, after the cows have spent the summer on the lush alpine pastures, the traditional Alpabzug Flimserstein takes place. Against a breathtaking backdrop, around two hundred cows and calves gather in the Hochtal Bargis. Guests and locals come together in the high valley for the Buura Z'Morga (farmers' breakfast) and the festival catering to watch this spectacle. The decorated cows are led from Bargis via Fidaz back down into the valley to Flims. Thanks to the Stallchilbi (barn festival), market stalls, live music and much more, the traditional Alpabzug is a wonderful experience for young and old alike.
