Passing by the roaring waterfall "Pischür", we ascend the steep path "Trongji" to the Alp Fiess. Step by step, we leave the village behind and immerse ourselves in the tranquil mountain world. The path continues over Kluscheten and Bodmen through the mystical evening landscape.

At the Bodmenstübli restaurant, a delightful break awaits you: fine Valais Cholera (vegetarian) – hearty, regional, and just the right thing after an uplifting ascent. Together we eat, laugh, and enjoy the moment before we set off again, strengthened for the return journey.

The hike is accompanied by the local author Rolf Hermann, who enriches the route with literary impulses. His close connection to the region shapes his texts and gives them a special authenticity.

He reads in Walliser dialect and High German, tells of landscapes and stories from the region, and weaves observations with memories. Thus, a lively dialogue between place and word emerges along the way – entertaining, humorous, and often imbued with a light, nostalgic tone.
