From January 15th to 17th, 2027, the Lej Suot will be transformed into a playground for 74 teams competing in the Swiss Pond Hockey Championship. The qualifying matches on Friday and Saturday will determine who will play for the Swiss Championship title on Sunday and which teams will compete in the Surlej Cup.

This is Pond Hockey
The ice will be specially prepared for the tournament. The playing fields are 20 x 40 meters and are bordered by small snow boards (approximately 20-40 cm high). The goals are the same width as official ice hockey goals, but only about 20 cm high.
The equipment is also different from that of a classic hockey tournament: only skates, gloves, and a stick are permitted. Shin and elbow pads are allowed, and a helmet is recommended. Other equipment is not permitted.
