With the fairytale gondola lift you float from Grächen to the Hannigalp – accompanied by lovingly told fairy tales. Each gondola becomes a little fantasy journey with a view of the Valais mountains.
The fairytale gondola Hannigalp at a glance
The Hannigalpbahn runs from Grächen at 1619 meters to the Hannigalp at 2114 meters. The colourful fairytale gondolas and SiSu & Friends gondolas make the ride itself an experience: As you level up, stories from Grimm's fairy tale world or from SiSu and his friends accompany you.

Fairytale ride in colourful gondolas
Choose your favourite gondola – whether fairytale or with SiSu & Friends – and let yourself be carried through the Valais mountains with audio stories. Once at the top, a wide view over the peaks and valleys of the Valais awaits you. The perfect start for a hiking or biking tour.
- Good to know: Special timed tickets available for hikers and bikers.
- Tip: Sit on the valley side – there you have the best view of the Mattertal.
Play paradise on the Hannigalp
At over 2000 metres, a large play paradise awaits – ideal for families with children. After a mountain ride full of stories, there is a lot to discover up here before the gondola takes you safely back down into the valley.
- Good to know: The cable car is in operation in summer as well as winter – ask the mountain railway for opening hours.
- Tip: Pack a picnic blanket – there are nice rest areas around the playground.
