Intro
Built in 1965 at the top of the Gries Pass, the dam is fed by melt waters from snow and the Gries Glacier.
When the dam is full to capacity, the waters of its lake are the highest in Switerland, at 2386 metres. Numerous hikes and mountain bike trails around the lake.
