Myth and history are omnipresent along the ViaGottardo. Two branches from Basle and Schaffhausen converge on the Lake of Lucerne and continue across the Gotthard pass to Chiasso. Again and again the traditional Swiss transit route provides new surprises. Apart from well-known attractions, natural and cultural treasures in hiding along the route are just waiting to be discovered.
