Breithorn Twin West (4,139m a.s.l.) at a glance
Just 115 metres separate the Western Breithorn Twin from the Eastern Breithorn Twin. At 4,139 metres above sea level, the Western Breithorn Twin is the slightly taller of the two Breithorn Twins. As part of the Breithorn Plateau, the twin peaks are a popular destination for less experienced climbers of four-thousanders. The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise upper station makes the approximately two-hour ascent considerably easier. The Western Breithorn Twin towers high over Zermatt in the Valais Alps, yet is within easy reach for many.
