Le Chamossaire – and surroundings
Hint
Intro
A well-connected hiking and biking region between Villars-sur-Ollon and the Les Diablerets village. Mountain and gondola railways together with lesser-known bus connection.
Le Chamossaire – and surroundings at a glance
The transmission antenna on the Chamossaire is viewed from quite a distance. A gondola railway travels from Villars to Roc d'Orsay, from where the way then continues with a 25-minute walk to the summit. Exactly opposite above the Rhone Valley the Dents du Midi with Cime de l'Est.
The Bretaye region is also reached with the red cog railway from (Bex–) Villars, for which GA season tickets are valid. And from Gryon/Barboleuse an additional gondola railway travels up to the Les Chaux vantage point. Last but not least, a bus route from Villars brings visitors to Les Diablerets in summer via Col de la Croix.
