In 2026, Bande in Piazza once again brings brass band ensembles from Ticino and French-speaking Switzerland to the centre of Locarno.
The event
Bande in Piazza is a long-standing concert series organised by Musica di Minusio and has been a valued part of Locarno's event calendar since 1999.
Its concept is simple: bringing brass band music out of traditional concert halls and directly to the public in Piazza Grande.

Over several evenings, the event presents different brass band ensembles from Ticino together with a guest group from French-speaking Switzerland.
