Montreux Comedy was founded in 1999 and quickly became the leading French-speaking comedy festival in Switzerland and Europe. Each year, the festival welcomes both renowned stars and promising new talents, offering a unique showcase for the diversity of contemporary comedy.
Known for its hilarious gala shows and friendly atmosphere, the festival combines tradition and innovation with a variety of formats, from one-man shows to ensemble performances. Over the years, it has become a true springboard for emerging artists while remaining an unmissable event for comedy fans, attracting tens of thousands of spectators every year.
The festival takes place in both Lausanne and Montreux. Shows are held at the Théâtre de Beaulieu in Lausanne and at the 2m2c, in the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux.
