Experiences in Baden

The Teddy Bear Museum Baden is home to hundreds of stuffed bears. They are displayed in amusing settings as though they were alive.

The park around the Grand Casino Baden is home to ancient trees and constitutes a green oasis in the centre of town.

The Villa Boveri, built 1895 - 1897, was the Baden residence of the family of Walter Boveri, co-founder of Brown Boveri & Cie. Both house and park are a veritable treasure and are under monument protection.

The History Museum is dedicated to the history of the city and region of Baden. The museum runs guided tours and workshops for schools and groups, and organises true-to-life exhibitions and family events.

The Baldegg water tower is both a water reservoir and an observation tower. A spiral staircase with 181 steps leads up to the viewing platform which offers a 360-degree panoramic view across the Mittelland region to the Black Forest and from Mt. Säntis to the Jungfrau in the Bernese Oberland.

The locals still think of the ruins as their own Stein Castle. Standing majestically over Baden, it offers a magnificent view of the Old Town.
