Intro
The first visitors bathed in the salubrious springs on Mt. Rigi 600 years ago. Since July 2012 the bathing tradition has been restored to new life in the Mineral Baths & Spa Rigi-Kaltbad.
Built by the star architect Mario Botta, the new spa received a contemplative aura that benefits body and soul. The facility is divided into a mineral bath and a spa. The latter is accessible only to persons above age 16. The mineral bath, offering a magnificent view of the mountains, has an indoor and outdoor pool, an herbal steam bath, a rest area, and much more.
In the spa area, which is a little calmer, visitors can experience a crystal bath, an herbal sauna and a lounge with spring water.
The Mineral Baths & Spa Rigi Kaltbad is best reached by aerial cable car from Weggis or by cogwheel train from Vitznau.
