The Golf Club Bad Ragaz, part of the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz, considers ensuring that nature is cherished and maintained on and around the golf course to be a top priority. It attaches particular importance to promoting biodiversity and environmental stewardship throughout the grounds. In 2020, for example, several wildflower meadows were planted on the golf course, serving as the best food resource for the five bee colonies that have settled there to date. Head greenkeeper Jonas Friedrich has even trained as a beekeeper so that he can ensure the well-being of the bees. In June of this year, the first honey could be harvested, which the guests of golf restaurant gladys can now enjoy.

Grandhotel Giessbach

Sustainability has been the passionate vocation at the Giessbach since its rescue in 1982-1984. Many farmers and local producers contribute with their products to the well-being of the guests. The honey is produced by the Giessbach bees - all organic, of course. The beekeeper takes care of 20 bee colonies and produces about 400 kg of honey from the Giessbach domain. The very peaceful autochthonous Swiss species of Carnica bee has found a home at the Giessbach.
