Museums in Graubünden

The Graubünden Museum of Nature with its extensive exhibits on 4 floors provides a fascinating insight into the flora, fauna and geology of the canton of Graubünden. Modern special exhibitions furnish an indepth insight into contemporary nature-based topics.

The Yellow House in Flims is a redesigned old farmhouse, which was painted yellow until its renovation in 1997 (which is why it was called Yellow House). Although the house is now resplendent in white, the old moniker remains.

Experience and explore a museum. On five floors you can see what life was like in Surselva in earlier times and how people worked in the olden days. A special museum tour for children encourages touching and trying out antique objects. How does one work with hammer and anvil? How does the sausage machine work? How does the Geisshorn sound?

The Forum Würth Chur is staging a changing exhibition with a broad supporting program, consisting mostly of exhibits from the Würth Collection, which comprises 16,000 exhibits.

The Eggahus in Innerarosa is the oldest house in the village. From the outside it is an architectural jewel, while inside, it is a treasure chamber full of stories: The local history museum is housed in this former meeting hall.

The Tessanda (hand weavers) in the Val Müstair (Münstertal) now has 18 looms and employs 8 people.
