The Matterhorn
It is impossible to escape the majestic beauty of the
Matterhorn at 4,478 metres above sea level. You can already see the mountain from the village, for example from the church square or from the church bridge. The
Gornergrat boasts one of the best views of Switzerland's landmark. The view from the
Sunnegga or the Rothorn is just as magnificent. An ascent of the Matterhorn should only be attempted by experienced alpinists.
