The Sonnenhütte is situated on the pass summit of the Ibergeregg in Oberiberg (canton Schwyz, Central Switzerland) in a quiet environment in the moors, directly within the hiking network and only 800 metres from the climbing parks.
In winter the Sonnenhütte is directly on the ski slopes and at the starting points for snow shoe trails. The hut it at 200 metres from the parking lot (fee applies) and at 300 metres from the bus stop "pass summit Ibergeregg". From Schwyz you reach it within 15 minutes by car.
The kitchen of the Sonnenhütte is equipped with crockery and cooking utensils for 50 persons. Attached to the house is a separate mountain inn open all year round with its own sun terrace (separate entrances).
The neighbourhood offers something for schools and families: skiing, snowboarding, sledging, winter hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoe hiking in winter and hiking, biking, climbing and exploring the moors with their unique biodiversity in summer.
