At the Falkengalerie, we are looking forward to welcoming Dora Bessler in November with her paintings, accompanied by Susanna Telli’s clay objects.
The art gallery is open from November 4–29, Wednesday through Saturday from 2:00–5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

In my paintings, I strive to capture colors and shapes, impressions, and moods. As an admirer of nature, landscapes, flowers, and trees are subjects that frequently appear in my work. I enjoy selecting hidden corners that we only notice at second glance.
Working with paper and canvas, various materials such as texture paste, marble dust, and sand, as well as watercolor, oil, and acrylic paints, ink, charcoal, and colored pencils, is a constant challenge—one in which the hand holding the brush doesn’t always do what the eye sees or the heart desires. And yet—or perhaps precisely because of this—painting is so fascinating.
Time and again, situations arise while painting where you don’t know how to proceed, and the painting you’ve started seems strange and unsuccessful. That’s when the experimentation begins—trying out new possibilities. If a beautiful painting does emerge in the end, it’s encouraging and brings joy; if not, you’ve still learned from the failure.
The joy of creating is what matters most. Painting means rest, relaxation, but also a challenge.
Above all, however—painting for the sake of painting…

As a trained gardener, I’ve always enjoyed being creative, love working with my hands, and feel deeply connected to nature. Four years ago, I spontaneously enrolled in a pottery class where we got to create different birds. The freedom to experiment with clay, the focused, patient work—but sometimes also the frustration when things don’t turn out as hoped… That really captivated me. And now I look forward every week to making pottery with my group of women. Depending on our mood, we create figurines, bowls, spheres, and much more. Many of these pieces find a home in my large garden… where they were discovered by my neighbor Dora, a painter, who encouraged me to exhibit them with her at the Falkengalerie.
