As if they came from another era. Thanks to the work of the Regional Nature Park, numerous activities and theme walks present the history and the setting of this valley.
Along the Sarine river, in the valley
Between mountains and river, the Intyamon is aptly named - between mountains in the local dialect. This green valley sees the river Sarine flowing through its countryside. Beautiful hikes make it possible to explore this unspoilt nature without great difficulty. The Sentier des Comtes (Counts' Trail) connects Gruyères with Montbovon, on the edge of the canton. Themed hikes such as the agro-silvicultural trail complete the offer.
Historic villages to explore
Cheese has influenced the organisation of space, the landscape, the architecture of farms and houses. In Estavannens, Villars-sous-Mont, Grandvillard and Lessoc, this rich past can be seen on the buildings and barns' exteriors.
A dedicated trail, the Grandvillard Rural Architecture Discovery Trail, takes you on a beautiful walk through history. Ideal to enjoy with family or friends.

The Regional Nature Park welcomes the visitor with a thirst for authenticity and nature in the Intyamon Valley. Its diversified offer "Parc à la Carte" proposes numerous activities to learn about the heritage and local traditions of this regional park. As a member of the Swiss nature parks, you can discover sublime hikes, sometimes over several days.
