Nature morte (Natura morta)
The French physicist Gabriel Lippmann carried out research in the field of optics, focusing on light radiation. His work led to the invention of interference photography – a method that resembles holography in some respects. In 1908, Lippmann was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in recognition of the invention of this colour photography process.
