Stargazing from an apiary made from 100% Swiss timber.

The roof primarily consists of an oval pane of glass, measuring around 2m2 and affording a view of the starry sky.

The apiary is located in the Grindelwald Youth Hostel’s large garden, with all the benefits that implies. The view of the legendary north face of the Eiger is simply breathtaking. The large garden has a grill tray for barbecuing. In addition, the large outdoor hot tub can be booked. It promises wellness with a view, whatever the weather. Good news for sustainability fans: the wooden hut is 100% biodegradable.

Room description

The apiary has a French double bed. Guests are welcome to use the youth hostel’s sanitary facilities. The apiary can be used in all weather conditions.

접근성

By public transport / on foot: Via Interlaken-Ost (SBB/BLS) by the Bernese Oberland Railway to Grindelwald. From Grindelwald train station, take the bus for “Bodmi” to the “Gaggi Säge” stop; from there it’s a two-minute walk to the youth hostel. Alternatively, the 15-minute walk from the train station is well signposted. Last bus: 6:44 p.m.

By car: The youth hostel has a limited number of parking spaces, and there is a charge for parking. Snow chains may be needed in winter. No access for coaches.
