BEST LOCATION! Hotel Baren am Bundesplatz has a four star rating. It is situated in the heart of Berne -an Unesco World Culture Heritage city. It is ideally situated next to the main railway station and close to The House of Parliament. The main shopping area and other attractions, such as the Bernese Munster, the Zytglogge and the Bear Park are all within walking distance. The hotel has 69 non-smoking rooms, which are available as a single, double, twin or comfort. All rooms provide comfortable accommodation whether on a business or leisure trip. All rooms are air-conditioned and are equipped with a work place, free Wi Fi and TV (multilingual), bath or shower, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and a safe. The Bären has a history of great hospitality for all that dates back over 180 years. Thanks to its central location, it can be used as a base to explore the whole of Switzerland. The hotel’s own WohnBar is a place where locals reward themselves with an end-of-the-day drink, and for politicians it’s conveniently near the Parliament House. The rooms are tastefully furnished and are quiet despite the central location. The generous breakfast gives you all the energy you need to go and visit the many sights of Bern’s Old Town, such as the Zytglogge clock tower, the Bear Park or Bern Minster.

The Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz does not have its own parking spaces. We recommend our guests to use the nearby public car park at the casino. 24h costs CHF 28.00. You can drop off luggage outside the hotel and we will be happy to give you directions to the Casino car park. Bern can be reached by train from Zurich, Basel or Lucerne within an hour (SBB timetable). In Berne, public transport is the most convenient and quickest way to get from A to B.
