Intro

You discover the Capanna Salei on a beautiful old meadow at the midst of the Onsernone Valley - far from civilization and at 1777meters above sea level, with amazing views over the Locarno region.

Built of natural stone, so typical to the region, the attractive hut has sufficient space for 20 people to sleep and is open from mid-May to mid-October. Here you can delight delicious Ticino-style specialties while seated on the sunny terrace. Thanks to the Zott cable car the hut is easily accessible and diverse hiking paths lead to little villages close by.

Lovely walks are enjoyed from here, such as the hikes through the larch forest to the small and idyllic Laghetto dei Salei lake - or up to the Monte Munzelüm, Pilone or Zucchero heights; accompanied all the way by impressive all-round views of the surrounding mountain tops and valleys.
