Intro
A classic among the cross-country tracks in Davos Klosters, the Sertigtal trail offers skiing pleasure surrounded by forests and mountains like the Mittaghorn and Plattenfluh. Its delights include the Walser hamlet of Sertig and the little white mountain church with its pointed tower.

Starting in Davos Frauenkirch, the trail follows the wild Sertigbach stream on the right-hand side of the valley, mostly on a slight incline. After passing through the lower Äbiwald for about two kilometres, skiers reach the Mühle Sertig restaurant and cross the stream.
The route now runs past numerous Walser settlements as the valley becomes ever wider. After about six kilometres comes the highest point of the tour by the Felabach stream. A gentle downward slope now leads skiers past the hamlet of Sertig with its eye-catching mountain church, built in 1699 by the Walsers and a listed building since 1942. The Sertig Valley is considered one of the Swiss regions most worthy of protection. Snow-covered pine and larch forests tower above the mountainsides, with peaks like the Mittaghorn, Plattenfluh and Hoch Ducan forming an impressive backdrop.
The last few hundred metres of the trail run gently downhill to the end of the tour in Sertig Sand. You can follow the same route back to Davos – or you take the postbus and ride back in comfort via Clavadel to Davos Platz. The bus stop is right next to the Walserhuus restaurant.
