야생동물 관찰 체험 in 생갈렌

생갈(St. Gall) 수도원은 1983년부터 유네스코 세계 문화 유산으로 지정되었으며 도서관, 아치형 지하실 및 새로운 전시장에는 다량의 전시품들이 소장되어 있다.

생갈렌(St. Gallen)은 박물관과 관련된 많은 투어가 있다. 매력적이고 국제적으로 유명한 전시회와 수많은 컬렉션은 다양한 박물관 지형을 만든다. 창고 박물관(Museum im Lagerhaus)는 특히 꼭 한번 방문해 볼만하다.

화려한 축제의 시즌이 오면 생갈렌(St.Gallen) 구시가지의 거리 위에서 빛나는 700개의 별빛이 유네스코 세계유산의 유서 깊은 풍경 위로 쏟아진다.

매년 6월 말 생갈렌 수도원 안뜰은 오페라 무대로 탈바꿈한다.

생갈렌 미술관(Art Museum St. Gallen)은 동부 스위스에서 발굴한 매장품과 같은 국제적으로 중요성을 지닌 전시 등 흥미로운 프로그램을 준비하고 있으며 중세시대 후반에서 현재까지의 회화와 조각작품을 풍부하게 보유하고 있다.

생갈렌, 슈타인 암 라인, 샤프하우젠 사이를 잇는 철도로, 독특한 호수와 강 풍경을 따라 달린다. 원하는 곳 어디서나 내려 작은 호수 마을을 여행하기 좋다. “투르보” 기차는 매 30분마다 운행되기 때문이다.

생갈렌(St.Gallen)의 섬유 박물관과 도서관에서는 유서 깊은 자수와 뛰어난 레이스 작품들은 물론 현대의 섬유 예술 작품들의 흥미로운 전시가 열리고 있다.

생갈렌(St. Gallen) 라인 계곡은 가장 아름다운 하이킹 지역 중 하나이자, 손꼽히는 스위스의 휴양지 중 하나다. 보덴제(Bodensee) 호수, 사르간스(Sargans), 알텐라인(Altenrhein) 사이, 꿈만 같은 계곡에 자리해 있어 하이커뿐만 아니라, 와인 애호가도 매혹시킨다.

생갈렌(St. Gallen) 도시 곳곳에서 역사의 흔적을 발견할 수 있다. 도시의 랜드마크는 바로크 성당 양식의 생갈렌 수도원 지역이다. 대성당과 부속 도서관이 자리한 수도원 지역은 1983년 유네스코 세계유산으로 등재되었다.

3개의 연못(Drei Weieren)은 도심에 자리잡은 평화로운 오아시스이다. 본래 수도원에서 쓰이는 물을 공급하기 위해 만들어진 연못으로, 아르누보 양식의 목욕탕이 있어 소풍이나 수영을 하기 위해 많은 이가 찾는다.

The Mülenen Gorge is a narrow ravine south of the old town of St.Gallen. At the lower end of the valley - so the story goes – Saint Gall stumbled and fell among thorns.

연령 구별 없이 누구에게나 흥미진진한 박물관. 800m²에 달하는 넓이에 지어진 박물관은 10개의 주제별 영역으로 구성되어 있다.

토겐부르크(Toggenburg) 출신의 조각가 아우구스트 보쉬(August Bösch)가 제작해 1896년 린덴플라츠(Lindenplatz)에 설치한 이 분수는 도시의 물을 콘스탄스(Constance) 호수에서 공급받던 시절을 떠올리게 한다.

The three artificial water basins ‘Drei Weieren’ were created in 1610 to secure the water supply for the textile bleaching industry as well as the fire brigades. Today they are a water park, an oasis of serenity and a wonderful recreation area. Located just a few minutes from the Grand Tour, the ponds invite visitors to swim, take a stroll or picnic in the summers, and ice-skate in cold winters. The fact that Drei Weieren are amongst Switzerland’s most beautiful natural swimming pools is also due to the magnificent view of Lake Constance, the city of St. Gallen and the Abbey Cathedral which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983.

수도원 부근에서는 가볼만 한 선술집들을 많이 찾아볼 수 있다. 500년의 역사의 건물은 독특한 분위기를 지니고 있으며 활기찬 분위기를 느낄 수 있다 .

이 도시 공원은 생갈렌 도심에서 가장 거대한 공간을 차지하고 있다.

Concentrated within a small area around Bruggen, now a district of the city of St. Gallen, is a unique landscape featuring almost 20 bridges dating from between the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. Varying greatly in height, span and design, these include diverse structures – from ancient timber bridges in the valley bottom to tall steel and concrete bridges whose construction won international acclaim.

Around 8,000 plant species from all over the world thrive on the two hectares of the Botanical Gardens at Stephanshorn, St. Gallen. Special features include the Tropical House, with its rainforest plants, succulents and orchids, and the architecturally remarkable Alpine House.

생갈렌(St.Gallen)-로트몬텐(Rotmonten)의 아름다운 언덕 위에 자리한 페터 운트 폴(Peter and Paul) 야생동물 공원은 아이벡스, 사슴, 샤모아 영양, 스라소니, 살쾡이, 멧돼지 등 스위스 토종 동물들을 만나볼 수 있는 곳이다.

성 로렌스 교회(St. Laurenzen Kirche / St. Lawrence Church)의 탑은 구시가지와 수도원 구역의 아름다운 경치를 제공한다.
