簡介

“It is better to repent what you enjoyed than to repent not having enjoyed anything”, Giovanni Boccaccio’s quote is featured on Les Marmottes’ menu. True to this quote, a stop in this cosy mountain restaurant is well worth it.

Information

Description

Ambience:
Both born in 1982, Nadine and Robi Perren also both grew up in the catering trade. Their passion for hosting guests and their love for the mountains are in their blood, and you can feel that. This feeling is omnipresent, whether inside the restaurant, with its wooden panels, or outside on the inviting terrace. Guests sit at the long wooden tables to toast the good skiing conditions and the sunny weather with a glass of Valais wine.

Location:
Located at an altitude of 1,870 meters in the hamlet of Furi above Zermatt, a short distance from the Furi station of the Matterhorn-Express gondola.
Cuisine:
A wide variety of culinary delights for every taste and every mood: cheese and dried meat platters, vitello tonnato, carrot and ginger soup, salmon balls on tagliatelle, Rösti with home-smoked salmon and salad, spaghetti Bolognese or Napoli, Alpine macaroni with apple puree, mushroom ragout on toast, lukewarm goat’s cheese with salad, cheese fondue, vegetable rice with sweet and spicy chicken strips, veal piccata Milanese with polenta, beefsteak on a red wine and peppercorn jus and spätzle, a choice of wild game dishes; and for dessert, apple strudel with vanilla custard, “Coupe Dänemark” or Emmental meringue with ice-cream and whipped cream. The meat comes from their farm, the game meat from hunting in the Zermatt area, and many of the Valais delicacies are homemade.
