Intro

The Hotel Terrasse am See was opened in 1873 under the name Hotel Rigi-Bahn. Its fantastic location right on the lake, the breakfast buffet above the lake until 11am in the Restaurant Rondel, the tranquility and views from the panoramic terrace and the evening atmosphere will transport you to another world. This holiday hotel offers the right infrastructure for a number of hobbies and is ideal for excursions, being right next to the boat landing and the Vitznau-Rigi Railway. The last major refurbishment was carried out in 2012.

A charming little lakeside and historic hotel near the steamship jetty with a splendid view of the lake and the Alps.
Check in from 3pm / Check out until 11am By car you reach through highway N4, exit Küssnacht am Rigi and then by the lake route direction Weggis/Vitznau. By boat starting from Luzern you arrive next to the hotel. Gladly we pick up your luggage at the boat station.

The former Hotel Rigibahn was built in 1873 by the Vitznau-Rigi Railway and extended in 1930 to its present form. A striking feature is the "Berger Annex", the Bauhaus style Restaurant Rondel that swings out over the lake and was originally designed to be the first dancing hall on Lake Lucerne. The Rondel still has all its original furniture from 1930.

Meeting in a historic surrounding - The meeting room Sequoia with a view of the giant mammoth tree for nature lovers, a retreat in the old parlour (Alte Stube) in the style of historicism or a meeting/conference at the Rondel, the annexe above Lake Lucerne in Bauhaus style together with a stay in the historic and beautifully decorated rooms will be a world away from everyday office world
The location of the Swiss Historic Hotel directly at the boat landing as well as in the immediate vicinity of the bus station is easily accessible by public transport. The hotel delights with its sublime position on Lake Lucerne.
