The Bella Lui Youth Hostel in the canton of Valais is located very close to Lake Grenon and the attractive giant illuminated letters spelling “Crans Montana” that were installed to mark the town’s 125 years as a holiday resort.
“Bella Lui” means “beautiful light” in the original Valais dialect. The youth hostel certainly lives up to its name. The former sanatorium located on a high plateau boasts incredible views of the Valais Alps from three sun terraces. Tall windows and glass doors let the sun shine into the building and flood the rooms with light, making it the perfect place to relax after an exciting day of hiking, biking or skiing.
